CAASTIP
CAAS has launched the Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation Program (ASTIP). The International Science & Technology Innovation Program of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAASTIP) was officially launched in November 2019, with a total of USD 10,000,000 estimated to be invested in Phase I of CAASTIP over 3-5 years.
The CAASTIP aims to attract global resources and facilitate international cooperation in agricultural science and technology for innovation on the frontier of scientific and global challenges.
Phase I will focus on international collaborative research and innovation in molecular design and breeding, smart agriculture, agricultural biosafety, using agricultural wastes as resources, and other fields.

Task 1: Monitoring and control of major transboundary pests and diseases of crops
Task 2: Crop breeding by molecular design
Task 3: Research and development of smart agriculture
Task 4: Safe value-added utilization of livestock and poultry wastes and coordinated control of airborne pollutants
